Just had a thought.
It seems sometimes when I read scripture, I think about how some other person should really read it and change their life.
So many times when there are relationship issues, we think the other party is the one who is wrong, and needs to give in or change. Our pride or ego keeps us from looking inward. To see if we are part of the problem [or ALL of it]. It is an automatic self-protection / self preservation mechanism that is built inside of us. The result of this is continued conflict instead of reconciliation.
I am committing from now on, whether I am reading one verse, one chapter or one book in His Word, to ONLY ask the question:
“How does God want this to change me?”
I challenge you to join me.
Would love to hear your comments.
… Until the next acorn drops, keep looking up …
